A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Simple from the start.

What’s the difference between the agent and the client?+

The agent runs on the computer you want to view. The client runs on the device you’re viewing from. Together, they’re Iskander Remote Desktop: one computer, one companion, and a connected workspace.

How does my client find my computer?+

Sign in to the same account on both devices. Iskander Remote Desktop uses account-based presence and local discovery to list your available computers. Select a computer to connect.

Can I share clipboard text between devices?+

Yes. From the companion client, send text from your device’s clipboard to the computer, or retrieve the computer’s clipboard text. Share links, notes, and code snippets in either direction when connected.

Does the computer need to stay on?+

Yes. Your computer must be powered on, awake, and running the agent. The client displays the computer’s screen, so the computer needs an active connection.

Can I stop sharing my screen?+

Yes. Run isk stop on the computer to stop hosting and disconnect viewers. You can start it again with isk start when you’re ready.
